Have you ever heard of "at-need" and "pre-need" plans?
In this blog, I'm going to show you the meaning and difference of these two.
AT-NEED Plans are funeral services that you buy in the event of sudden or unexpected death of an individual. In other words, at-need services are for after a death has already occurred.
PROS:
CONS:
- You don't have the power to choose your own casket or memorial plan of choice
- Tend to be pricey since you need it asap
- Will cause stress on your loved ones if they are not prepared financially
PRE-NEED Plans on the other hand, are the funeral services that you buy before your time of death.
PROS:
- Gives you peace because you can plan ahead your memorial plan of choice
- You can choose the memorial plan that is within your budget since St. Peter offers a 5 year term and variety of mode of payment
- Less burden on the part of your family and loved ones since funeral service has already been arranged
CONS:
- Price might increase without prior notice incase you delay on getting one :)
Let me share with you a comparison table of at-need and pre-need plan from St. Peter Life Plan:
So which one should you choose now?
Honestly, it really depends on you and what's your priority for the time being. But as for me, planning for your future should also cover planning ahead for your death. And if you have extra money, why not try getting one for yourself or for your family?
